The Design Process…

Helloooo and welcome to a fresh new blog post! So what am I going to be sharing with you I wonder… a bit of the design process!😍

If you’re in my Facebook Group then you will be one of the lucky ones who get to see orders being cut on my laser machine. I know alot love watching them as before I post them in my group I actually speed up the video (timelapse) and I have had amazing feedback when they have been watched.

So here is abit about the Design Process…

Prior to cutting, I tend to do alot of my designing on my laptop or ipad. For example, sizing the wording on Unicorn Signs with the rest of the wooden flowers etc. I will show you what I mean ⬇️

I also do rough sketches in my sketch book… here is abit of one and the full design is now complete… I must say it has cut beautiful on wood 😍

You can see that cute bear completely finished by clicking this link… https://pixiesattic.co.uk/product/cute-polar-bear-name-sign/

On any new designs I always do test cuts first on the machine to make sure they are perfect before deciding whether I am going to make them available to you to order. I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to my work (which is a very good thing in this case haha) Everything has to be 👌

I wanted to share with you a little video of some of the Unicorn Sign embellishments being cut on my laser…

You will often see me adding a tag line saying ‘Everything is made from start to finish right here at Pixies Attic’ and now hopefully you will see that in fact that is true. I work extremely hard to create new designs and nothing is ever rushed here. I suppose in a way that’s why you don’t see me adding loads of new items all the time, like every day or every week. It takes alot of time, love and care. I never rush, as what is the point. I am always seeking the new perfect design and I aim to deliver that every time. When you do see a new design, please know that I have been working on that for a while Haha, perfecting it so it’s just right 👌

I hope you’ve really enjoyed this blog post, it’s been a pleasure to share some of my design process with you!

Until next week…

take care,

Hannah xx
